Acupuncture

Acupuncture has a very long history and is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world. Even though it has been used throughout the world for the past 5,000 years or more, it is the Chinese that have preserved, documented and scientifically scrutinized the medicine for the last 2,500 years. Acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.

Cupping

Cupping has been a part of Chinese Medicine for over 2,500 years. It relieves aches and pains, improves circulation, pulls apart minor knots and adhesions in the muscle fibers and fascia, helps with respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis and allergies. Cupping in fact has been used worldwide for millennia for a number of reasons.

Fertility and IVF Transfer Protocol

So many of our patients come in with a diagnosis of "unexplained infertility" while feeling hopeless and discouraged. Traditional Chinese medicine offers alternative explanations for functional levels of imbalance. Issues that may stress the system enough to inhibit fertility may be contributing factors such as systemic inflammation, high levels of oxidative stress, dysglycemia or blood sugar metabolism issues, low grade infections, unresolved functional anemia etc.

Functional Medicine

Medical doctors review the various lab values and assign a western diagnosis. If certain lab values are outside of the "pathological range," then a disease diagnosis is given and pharmaceutical intervention is indicated. There are, however other ways of identifying imbalance by using a much narrower reference range called the "Functional range" whereby optimal lab values are set.

Kasha Ra

Kasha is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and primary care provider in California. Her early education and training in Chinese medicine began in GuangZhou China under the tutelage of Master Luo Guo Hua. She returned home to attend graduate school, ultimately receiving her Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. Kasha's 22 years of clinical experience along with her own personal health journey gives her a unique perspective on addressing complicated cases.
